AIContentr (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates aicontentr.com and provides AI-powered YouTube script generation services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

By using our services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use AIContentr:

Account information: name and email address when you create an account.

Usage data: scripts you generate, YouTube channels you connect, research you add, and actions you take within the platform.

YouTube channel data: publicly available channel information (channel name, subscriber count, public video titles and descriptions) fetched via the YouTube Data API when you connect a channel. We do not access private YouTube data or your Google account credentials.

Technical data: browser type, device type, IP address, and usage logs for security and performance purposes.

Payment data: when billing is enabled, payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay. We do not store your card number, UPI ID, or banking credentials. We only retain transaction status and plan information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the AIContentr platform
  • Generate AI-powered scripts personalised to your channel
  • Save your work and preferences across sessions
  • Send transactional emails (account creation, password reset)
  • Improve the platform based on usage patterns
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

We do not use your scripts or channel data to train AI models.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third-party services required to operate the platform:

  • Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure)
  • Anthropic (AI script generation — prompts are processed but not retained for training)
  • Vercel (hosting infrastructure)
  • YouTube Data API (public channel data only)
  • Razorpay (payment processing, when billing is enabled)
  • AWS SES (transactional email delivery)
  • PostHog (anonymised product analytics)

Each of these providers maintains their own data protection policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority in India.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted passwords (never stored in plain text)
  • Row-level security on all database tables
  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Access controls limiting who can view user data

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to correction: request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Right to withdraw consent: withdraw consent for data processing at any time
  • Right to grievance redressal: raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how the platform is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

8. YouTube API Data

AIContentr uses the YouTube Data API to fetch publicly available channel and video information when you connect a YouTube channel. By using YouTube-connected features within AIContentr, you agree to be bound by YouTube's Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

We only access publicly available channel data (channel name, subscriber count, public video titles and descriptions). We do not access your private YouTube data, watch history, or Gmail.

If you authenticated using Google OAuth, you may revoke our access to your Google account at any time via Google Security Settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

9. Business Transfers

If AIContentr or its assets are acquired by another company, or in the event of a merger or bankruptcy, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer and the acquiring entity will be required to honour the terms of this Privacy Policy.

10. Children's Privacy

AIContentr is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
